Kansas City business mogul Adam Blue and Carly Hudson enjoy a happy hour beverage at
McCormick and Schmick's
Boasting one of the most popular happy hours in the KC
area, McCormick and Schmick's on the Plaza perfectly blends an after work social
atmosphere with an incredible seafood restaurant. The happy hour at McCormick
and Schmick's is not a beer guzzling, idiotic dance music blasting twenty
something affair, but rather a sophisticated wealthy business person's version
of happy hour. The bartenders take their time with their mixology, using fresh
squeezed fruits and vegetables to create unique and exotic beverages for the
more advanced palate. The happy hour bar menu lists about 10 items that are all
on special including steamed mussels, a 1/2 pound burger, bruscetta, Thai peanut
chicken satay, and several other items for very low prices. McCormick and
Schmick reviews are usually great and they feature an outdoor dining and
drinking area right off the bar that sits a story above the plaza streets where
you can sit and people watch if the weather is nice. Be sure and get there early
if you can, happy hour starts at 4pm and the bar area fills up fast. If you are
looking for a lovely seafood dining experience for later in the evening,
McCormick and Schmick's boasts one of the highest rated seafood menus in the
country including a constantly revolving selection of fresh seafood and imported

2021 It's happy hour Kansas City! This is one happy hour that you have to try out at least once whether you're from KC or just visiting on business or pleasure. I always bring my clients to McCormick and Schmick's happy hour if we're in the KC Plaza area and they always just love it. Last week we had a firm in from Boston and even they were impressed with the fresh seafood and exotic drinks. And they're usually picky asses! I can count on McCormick and Schmick reviews to be good from my business associates and we have always had a great time while hanging out here. Definitely go out and sit on the deck outside if weather permits as the people watching from there is great. We will see you guys soon. 2021 Miss you mom! I really miss coming here with my mother who passed this last fall. Even though we were "two old birds" we used to really take in the sights on the Plaza and try to get to McCormick and Schmick's happy hour by 4pm if we could make it in time. Mom always used to get the steamed mussels and a bloody mary extra spicy. She said that this place was the only restaurant that could make bloody marys better than she could at home since they used all natural and fresh squeezed ingredients. McCormick and Schmick reviews seem to favor the positive and I completely agree as my husband and I still try to come down here whenever we are out shopping on the plaza. He likes the half pound cheeseburger and a Boulevard Wheat. Even though mom is gone, I still love to come down here to eat and drink and remember the good old days. 2021 The secret is definitely in the juice squeezers! The fact that McCormick and Schmick's uses fresh squeezed limes, lemons, oranges and grapefruit puts their mixed drinks on a whole new level. Be sure and follow the advice in this write up of the place as happy hour does get really crowded really fast after it starts at 4pm. Our favorite bartender "Adam" is no longer there, but the other guys and gals are just fine. We know that McCormick and Schmick's reviews are always good and we have never received a bad drink from the place, even when we ask them to just "make something up". We discovered a drink called Pims here, where they blended the famous British liquor with cucumbers to make a unique drink that we tried to recreate at home but wasn't quite the same :( McCormick and Schmick's Reviews - Seafood Restaurant and Happy Hour KC Plaza |

2021 Don't waste your time on the big cheeseburger when you can get your hands on some of the best steamed mussels on the planet during one of these happy hours. You can get a cheeseburger at any old happy hour, don't waste your hard earned appetite on something so common when McCormick and Schmick's happy hour menu offers so much more. My friends and I come here all the time for the happy hour menu and a cold drink after work. My parents used to take us here for dinner back in the day and now we come here for drinks and fun. The bartenders are awesome but be sure and bring your wallet because it is not exactly cheap if you're ordering fat mixed drinks or martinis.
