dumplings, The Blue Koi serves up their delicious array of upscale Chinese food
in two locations in the Kansas City area. The original location is located in
midtown and the new location is in the luxurious bosom of Mission Farms in
Leawood, Kansas. They serve bubble tea which is an interesting Taiwanese drink
also known as pearl milk tea or boba milk tea. Bubble tea is unique in that it
contains "pearls" at the bottom of the cup made of round balls of tapioca. The
teas come in all different flavors, from milky to fruity to alcoholic. Kansas
City reviews of The Blue Koi restaurant are very good indeed as they serve some
of the finest food in town. Their appetizers range from their unique and
original China Moon, which is a sort of shrimp quesadilla, to their crispy tofu
with "awesome sauce", and they also have an incredible duck wrap and veggie
dumplings to boot. One of the ladies' favorite dishes is the main dish almond
chicken asparagus which also can come prepared with shrimp, and one of the men's
favorite dishes is the firebird duck, a boneless roast duck sauteed with chili

One visit to the Blue Koi and we were hooked! We refer to this
restaurant as "upper class Chinese food" as it is basically Chinese food
but made with high quality meats and ingredients. This last trip to Blue
Koi my wife ordered the seafood dumplings and she was very happy (this
was the first time she didn't order the almond chicken asparagus) and I,
as always, got the Chinese pot roast, which is ALWAYS incredible. We
review the Blue Koi with the highest of praise!

Absolutey amazing! We visit the Blue Koi almost once a month for a great
experience in Chinese food at it's best. We live in Leawood and often
eat at all of the different restaurants in Mission Farms and Blue Koi is
one of our favorites. 5 star review for the Blue Koi because it really
deserves it.

We went here for my birthday and we had a ball. We might have drank a
little too much saki but hey, your birthday only comes once a year
right? All of our friends liked all of the food that they got and our
server was a lot of fun. We will decidedly return in the future. We give
Blue Koi an excellent review for showing us such a good time on my
special day.

Although for this review of Blue Koi we only gave 4 stars and 3 stars in
a few categories, we usually have great food and great service. This
time my wife had a problem with her order but they fixed it right away
and everything ended up ok. We will come back and try it again.

Please keep in mind that this Blue Koi review is ONLY for the Westport
location. We always have a beautiful experience at The Mission Farms
location. Westport has just gone downhill in general, not just this
place. Parking was a nightmare.
